Disneyland Paris in 2027: A New Ride, a 35th Birthday and Two Notable Losses
Disneyland Paris has laid out its 2027 calendar: a new Up-themed swing ride, a 35th anniversary in April and the return of Alice & The Queen of Hearts. The trade-off is losing both Hyperspace Mountain and Mickey and the Magician.
Ahead of its spring and summer 2027 package sales, Disneyland Paris has published an overview of what is coming to the resort, and the picture cuts both ways.
The anchor is the anniversary. April 12, 2027 marks 35 years of Disneyland Paris, with the resort promising extra sparkle and special moments around the date. On the attraction side, Wilderness Explorers Sky Swings opens at Disney Adventure World in 2027, an Up-themed swinger giving riders a bird's-eye view over Adventure Way. Entertainment also gains something back: Alice & The Queen of Hearts: Back to Wonderland returns to Disney Adventure World in spring 2027, described as a colourful pop-rock reworking of the Disney classic.
Against that come two closures. Mickey and the Magician will not be performed at all during 2027, because the Animagique Theater begins a major refurbishment on January 10, 2027, running for several months. Given that the work starts almost exactly with the calendar year, shifting a trip by a few weeks won't help. The second closure was confirmed at D23: Star Wars: Hyperspace Mountain closes at the end of 2027 to make way for the long-awaited return of Space Mountain – De la Terre à la Lune.
Disney Village keeps transforming in the meantime. The new retail concept Disney Wonders, spanning the Disney, Pixar, Star Wars and Marvel universes, opens in mid-September 2026, with Italian restaurants Casa Giulia and Giulia Express arriving towards the end of the year. Annette's Diner reopens from 2027 with a reimagined take on its 1950s American styling, the Gaumont cinema begins its modernisation, and the phased Vapiano renovation should wrap in early 2027.
Hotels see movement too. Renovated rooms at Disney Sequoia Lodge can be booked for stays from February 19, 2027, with work continuing in phases alongside normal operations. At Disney Davy Crockett Ranch, all older bungalows will have been phased out by the end of September 2026, leaving every bookable unit themed to Donald, Daisy and the Junior Woodchucks.
On booking: spring and summer 2027 packages cover arrivals from April 1, 2027 through March 31, 2028, going on sale first in the UK and a few days later everywhere else. Room-only reservations open in mid-October.
Closer at hand, the Disney Halloween Festival runs at Disneyland Park from September 26 to November 1, 2026, followed by Disney Enchanted Christmas from November 7, 2026 to January 6, 2027, which this year adds new Christmas decorations in World of Frozen.
