Disney Cruise Line has set a date: on Wednesday, October 7, 2026 at 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time, a livestream will reveal the outstanding details of the Disney Believe.
For Central Europe that is 10:30 p.m.

What is promised

The livestream is set to cover:
  • the ship's homeport
  • the itineraries
  • new onboard venues
  • the planned entertainment offering
It will be broadcast on the Disney Parks channels on YouTube, Instagram, Facebook and TikTok.


What is already known

Until now, construction progress has been the public side of the ship. At Meyer Werft in Papenburg, the first of three large modules floated out in mid-September – a so-called gigablock weighing over 31,000 tonnes, containing the midship section and the Grand Hall complete with walls, plumbing and wiring.

The Believe is assembled from three such modules, welded together afterwards. The ship is due to enter service in late 2027.

Theming draws on Encanto, Frozen, Snow White, Moana and The Little Mermaid, among others.

Why the homeport is the most interesting question

Of the four announced items, the homeport carries the most weight – including for European guests.
The fleet is currently concentrated heavily on Florida, with Port Canaveral and Fort Lauderdale as the main bases, plus San Juan, San Diego, Galveston and Singapore. The autumn 2027 and spring 2028 itinerary announcement added New York for the Disney Wish.

Whether the Believe slots into that pattern or opens a new market determines whether the ship is a realistic option for travellers from Europe at all.

Pre-empting it would be wrong: there is no reliable information on homeport or itineraries yet. What is circulating in the meantime is speculation.
