Spilled Spaghetti and a Cheese Board: Remy's Ratatouille Adventure Finally Gets Its Promised Props

Disney has installed two new scenic elements in Remy's Ratatouille Adventure at EPCOT. Both are modest, both serve a clear purpose – and both arrive considerably late.

What's new

• In the kitchen scene at Gusteau's, a large spilled box of spaghetti now sits in view as guests pass beneath a counter.
• In the restaurant finale, a substantial cutting board with a wine cork, a block of cheese and an overturned teacup has been placed between the vehicle and the projection screen.

Both do the same job: masking the seams where projection surfaces meet physical sets – the joins that became more noticeable after the technical change.

The backstory

In October 2025, Disney announced the ride would convert from 3D to 2D and that additional set pieces would be added. The conversion was completed in November 2025, but the promised props never appeared. Permits for new set elements were only filed in May 2026, and the pieces have now become visible in September 2026.

That amounts to roughly ten months between the conversion wrapping and the announced additions actually arriving.

Disneyland Paris too

Of note for European fans: the Paris version, Ratatouille: L'Aventure Totalement Toquée de Rémy at Disney Adventure World, received comparable additions after its own 2D conversion. The change is a consistent approach across both versions of the attraction rather than a one-off at a single park.
